Code 45 "trac light" on LS400
Hey guys,
I'm pulling code 45 off of the trac light. According to lexls.com this is what the problem is:
"45 - When idle switch is ON, main throttle position sensor signal is 1.5V or higher"
Can someone tell me what this means? The car doesn't have any problems when the light is one and it doesn't hesitate at all, but I want to know how I can get rid of the light because its annoying having lights on. lol
I'm going to try the lexls.com way of bridging the TC and E1 and then pumping the brake 8 times in 3 seconds. If this doesn't clear it, I would like my money back.
If anyone has had this code before, please post how you got rid of it (if pumping the brake don't work). Also, I just cleaned up the throttle body...it was nasty, but the it was well worth it.
Let me know guys. thanks in advance

I also have a Trac light problem issue and pulled a code 51 or "engine management". My problem is when temperature cold in the morning, I start engine and the Trac light and anti lock brakes comes on at same time (but no check engine light). Does anyone have a similar problem and solution? thx.

I have that problem too. Engine check light and trac light turns on at the same time but no hesitation or performance lost to the car. Just annoying so if anyone knows how to fix it..please help!

Ok, I tried the procedure to try and clear the light...The light went away, but it came back. It does it sporadically. I think this is one of those things that the dealer can take care of.
It's weird because my engine light has never turned on.

On mine, I looked up the code 51 on Equus reader and it seems to indicate "throttle position switch." I am not certain if this is the culprit to the problem since I am not a mechanic. Anyone Lexus techs out there willing to share some wisdom?
