It's funny you mention this clunking sound on your 94?? I have a clunking sound coming from the rear of the car. It will only happen at light acceleration, or when under constant gas pedal pressure. I have taken the car to Lexus, could not duplicate,said it was the motor mounts?? Took it to an independant shop, could not duplicate the issue. Took it to the local Toyota dealer, same as the rest.
It happens at any speed, I had Toyota change the rear end fluid, and it went away for awhile. Now its back. I have been so frustrated about this. Now that the weather has broke, and it is getting warmer. I am going to crawl underneath it to figure out what no one else has been able to.
