knocking noise in rear end of my 94'ls?
i was driving on the highway when i started to hear a small knocking noise like its coming from the rear tires.i was driving the speed limit(65) until i heard the noise then as i got off the exit, the slower i went(40)it has gotten worse.i've pulled over into a shopping mall to check the tires to see if i have a bubble in the tires but after inspecting the tires, there was nothing,i got back in the car and continued to drive and the noise was there, again!once i've got it home in my parking space,i heard a loud clunk, again!i'm thinking its my bearings in the axle!can anyone give me advice?

There's a radius type arm that comes off the bottom of the hub and goes on an angle to the chassis , it's quite likely that the bush in the hub is completely stuffed , this allows the hub to move backwards and forwards and it will clunk , jack the wheel off the ground and grab the tyre and try and move the wheel backwards and forwards violently...then you will know !!

Sounds like a fairly obvious problem to someone who knows cars. I would personally drive it to any ASE master mechanic around town and ask them if they would drive your car down the road and back and tell you what it is. Sort of indicate that you would want them to do the repairs.
After they tell you what it is,.. thank them, and get a business card to come 'back' for repairs because you have to be at X place,.. or need Y money
It is 5 minutes of their time and will save you alot of time and potentially replacing parts you don't need to.

Not that I can find that I think you are wanting.. (pictures and such) --
Though this *is* a job where someone could give you a quick run down without pictures of the basic procedure on this car and you wouldn't run into any trouble doing it. It is straight forward.
I won't attempt it, because I haven't done the bearings on this car -- Last car I changed was a Nissan 300ZX.. many years ago. So I'll leave it to someone more intimate with the bearings of the LS
