Switched out my white 92 for a black 91. The rear cradle was falling out due to the rear trailing arm bushings being shot. I've had the white 92 for 10 years and have replaced just about every moving part in it. It was going to cost too much to replace the whole rear suspension. The "new" 91 Lexus has the regular issues the worst being that it's at half the power of the 92. I changed the plugs and wires. K&N air filter. Did a vacuum test and will look at cleaning out the EGR valve and possibly cats. I want to hopefully restore the power before switching out the timing/water pump. I have all service records from the one owner (doctor) who had it taken to Superior Lexus for every issue. (199,000 miles) I've already blacked out the windows, replaced the head unit with a kit and ran power to the trunk for a sub. I hope I can restore the power through the air system or else I will be selling this one to move up to a 98 or higher. I could write hundreds of pages about my experience with this model. With the proper care and understanding, thanks to this site, this car is my favorite.

I like it, BIJ. Damn, I wish I still lived in Japan! Let me guess - that car prolly was less than 5G's as-is wasn't it? What everyone here in the states doesn't realize is that it truly is a buyers market for used cars in Japan since the gov. makes it SUPER expensive to own a car older than 5 years old. That's why you will only see young kids or military guys rocking these "old" cars. Good luck. Hiroshi.
