Those tails are really distracting. What do they look like with the brake depressed?
hopefully he has red bulbs in there. i too have clear tails and with red LED bulbs, at night you can't even tell they are clear.
also i did smoke mine so they aren't too white, especially since my car is white to begin with. notice lots of newer toyota cars have clear tails (with red lighting), with a red reflector for DOT regulations.

the best part about the internet is that those little imperfections never show up unless you go out of your way to pout them out or make them obvious in your photos.
