Nice! How's the interior after those miles? The tint must have helped if it's leather.
I just had the tint installed. 20%. Felt like a different car afterwards.
Interior not too bad. Some cracking on the leather but no rips. I had to clean the leather with a toothbrush when I got the car as it was very grimy. I’ve never been much of a car guy and never thought I’d buy a 30 year old car, but I love this car so far.
Here's mine how she sits now. BC coils and 18x9.5 +42 with 235/40 front and 245/40 rear. Need to put a 5mm spacer on the rear but fenders are untouched!
I may go a little lower on the front but I'm worried about the exhaust clearance from the ground and I drive 5 hours to and from Texas a few times a year and roads around here are meh.
Are those 5Zigen's?? Love it! It will look great with a small spacer like you said. Have you considered longer wheel studs as well?
Besides exhaust clearance, you'll be dealing with front upper control arms knocking on the strut towers as you go lower.
They're actually a company called mach v. 18x9.5 and they only weigh 19lbs apiece. Forged wheel. They're designed for an STI so I knew they would clear the brakes with no issues. I went about 1/8 of an inch lower in the front and no rub or rolling. I checked the top of the control arm and its BARELY rubbing the underside of the strut tower only on big bumps so I'll look at cutting those if necessary. Here's another photo I took today. I'm trying to decide on a color for the brakes, looking up contrasting colors for bronze I'm almost considering doing a turquoise. In terms of wheel spacers, based on what I've seen on this thread 5mm can be run without extended studs.

Dude, I love it! Wow what a good looking 400.
For the brake calipers I'd stick with black, gunmetal gray or silver personally. Right now it's a very clean look and I think turquoise would look off. JMO of course.
I agree with the above statement. Turquoise would draw way too much attention the brakes themselves. Keep it a neutral color, in my opinion. When it comes to styling a car my thought process is always to keep it flowing as an entire package, instead of emphasizing one particular part or area of the car too much.
As it sits right now an enthusiast passer-by would look at the car as whole and say "wow, clean car!" just like we have said above. If you paint the calipers a crazy bright color a passer-by would say "wow, look at those brakes". Painting the calipers glossy black, gunmetal or silver would help enhance the look of the car without taking away from the entire package.

Either way, keep us updated!
Thank you for the opinion! I definitely know what you mean about the flowing aspect of the side profile. More then likely I will end up doing a silver since I dont want the brakes to "disappear" which will be more apparent with gunmetal wheels with black brakes.
