Got my gf an LS to match with me
Recently my gfs kia blew up (no surprise), and was in need of a vehicle. So my dad helped me find something reliable and affordable, and we found this mint 430. She was in tears when it delivered.
We have replaced the missing centercaps since this was taken

Depends on how much damage the upper control arm & shock took when the whole assembly twisted, specifically, the mounting points.
Tie rod, sway links, upper arm, shock absorber, lower ball joint, strut bar, maybe the knuckle & wheel bearing... it could get pretty expensive.
It's an Illinois car so it probably has systemic rust, so if it had 250k miles and was mechanically pretty sour it's possible for it to total it out. The body seems in really good condition, but you never know.

i had a catastrophic LBJ failure on my non-prerunner tacoma after hitting an expansion joint on an overpass and it only took out the lower control arm and tire (they dragged at 55mph to a stop). everything else was fine, even the rim!
with the LS i'm more worried about body damage as that fender is likely twisted.

Went for a couple hundred mile drive today. I spent an incredible amount of time in 2nd and 3rd gear today as I drove across some of the highest mountain passes in the state. At 12,000 feet the 1UZ is down quite a bit of power!
Despite all of this ridiculous driving, winter tires, running A\C, heavy braking (wasting energy). I went up multiple mountain ranges, I went from 7000 to 12000 to 8000 to 12000 again. I do not understand how I got the 2nd best fuel economy I've ever gotten in a tank. I confirmed with the receipt of fuel I put into the tank, it's real.
