I would consider my old LS to be kind of "sporty" styled. I didn't feel like shelling out the cash for a VIP ride. Plus I LOVE 5 spoke rims.

I feel the style of my wheels, grill, lighting, and exhaust gave it a "sportier" look.

I'm still debating on whether or not to paint my horns....I think it looked awesome on my old car.

But in the end all that matters is if you're happy with it. It's YOUR car, do what YOU want to make YOU happy with it.

I agree, although I know my LS is not sports car I think that my spoiler plays well with the existing body lines of the car. I have always loved deck-lid spoiler that sit and hug the trunk of the car. Most of the spoilers were to much for me like the huge flared 3 piece VIP style spoilers and also the spoiler that stand off the truck on the spoiler legs. I like the change that this spoiler made to my car and plan on putting on a front lip spoiler on the bumper to balance things out and of course the much needed drop.

Finally painted and installed!

Hey buddy, I am sure people have mentioned it already - but it's your car and your money, you can do whatever you want

Ha ha that is true enough. I recently saw a candy apple red LS 400 first gen in Houston. It was pretty hideous to me but I thought this guy is really proud of his ride - paint was good just WOW can't believe he did that.

I like this guys first gen - Looks sharp even with no body work - just sporty and simple

I want a sports look too, I don't want spoiler, what else can I do besides exhaust, grill, is there something we can do to the headlight?

my tires are 245, so it has a wide look.

Nice ride - I like the small M5 trunk lid spoiler Pure talked about - also side skirts and front chin spoiler would be a nice sporty upgrade. These with a mild drip to eliminate fender gap would be cool.

I saw an Audi A6 with these today on the way to the office - it looked really cool

Are you talking about your 99 ls4 or the ls430 out running 99 cobra's? Because my foxbody mustang will out run my friends 91 ls4, my other buddies 03 ls430, and my 93 ls400. My fox is a 5speed with just exhaust and 212k miles. Even though I know those '99 cobras arent that quick, I'm pretty sure a '99 cobra would out run my foxbody. I guess it all depends on the driver in the cobra..

idk wtf TJW is on about but from a standing start an LS wihtout heavy mods (or at least a TC+LSD (custom) setup will be bent over and raped by a cobra or most v8 mustangs just due to the massive gearing disadvantage before the weight even comes into play...

I know what your saying man. It just doesn't sound right. Regardless if my mustang is only 225hp/300+ tq, with stock 2:88 gearing I would and have destroyed my lexus off the line before I even put the drag radials on. Also off a roll I've pulled pretty decent on my buddies ls430 to 100+mph. Power to weight ratio...

Then again I have beat A LOT of cars my mustang shouldn't be capable of beating or even come near beating. Very often people need the best mod of all, the driver mod So beating a '99 cobra is very likely possible if the dude couldn't drive.

I'm in the same boat you are, I'm going the more "sporty" route with my 91LS.
I've had BMW's and Mercedes in the past, but like the reliability of the LS, so here I am.
I've found that the best way to acheive what you're looking for is to go through pics of BMW's and Mercedes, expecially AMG, Carlson, Brabus and so on. Although we can't get the same parts for the LS, this will give you styling queues to draw from.

Here is a sporty one
