Wow, totally forgot about this thread....

I've done quite a few things to my car since my last post. Headers, 2.5 inch exhaust, Supra wheels, and some other things.

My 1/8 mile times have come from low 9's to 8's. My current best 1/8 mile time is 8.431 at 85.22 mph. Should put me dang near, if not in, 12's in the 1/4 mile.

Thought you all would like to know, sorry for not updating sooner.

I don't know what the laws are in Cali but I'd assume they'd give you trouble.

But...would take maybe 1-2 hours to remove the supercharger, intake piping and to then bolt all the factory stuff back on to make it look good.

so, I'm going grave-digging with this one, but figured it better than posting a new thread

found this "Fish" bracket online and was wondering if it would work on a UCF20 LS. I know I shouldn't. I have one 1,000hp Lexus in the garage, but a little boost for the daily couldn't hurt

the vvti 1uz (and basically any 95+) has skinny rods, i wouldnt trust them with anything over like 6PSi. if you want boost, you'd need to build the block + drop the compression. more info on lextreme.

while possible, i'm like 95% sure the normal "fish" bracket won't work at all with the VVT-i engines, if nothing else because of the way the intake manifold sits (front facing). Lextreme made those originally and would know better.

I see the differences in the routing of piping, but just wondering if this is the same bracket used with the LMS kits for the GS430s. As long as the bracket fits, buying the rest of the components and making the piping is easy for me.

no, totally different brackets. the lextreme Fish bracket is for the pre-VVT-i intake setup, and puts the vortech s/c on the driver's side of the engine bay (where the battery is on the LS roughly).

^Lextreme Fish bracket mounting for reference.

the ooooold LMS S/C also uses a vortech s/c but has it placed on the totally opposite side of the engine (and imho, in roughly the middle of the ABS block on the '98-00 LS400)

Looks amazing. Has any other members have experience with this ls400 kit besides the information on lextreme? how much does a vortech kit usually go for?

hmmm...okay, I see. Might have to do some playing with cardboard for mock-ups. If all else fails, I guess I get a roots blower =P
