I take into consideration tire prices too though. I have my LS as a reliable 'inexpensive to maintain' vehicle. I surely dont' want to put on extremely large wheels requiring extremely large tires that are extremely expensive .. lol.

So I think 18 is a happy medium on a first Gen lowered. No?

Of course 18's are much more than 16" tires, but they aren't like 20" I wouldn't imagine.

Oh, and I know he *can* go lower -- but I think his look is great as is.

Now being 'his' fault, what exactly did he do wrong? lol. Looks like you guys are splitting hairs on how low he is.

neo I was joking bro, I think it was you splitting the hairs this time brotha I tease PD cuz he cant go any lower, he doesnt have a choice. If he saddled up and got some air (im sure thats next) than id have to shut my fat mouth wouldn't I?

and my opinion was based on looks, in practically of course the smaller the better but thats no fun at all is it?

PD in case you doubt it, the ride is SICK!

Yup,.. Sometimes hard to read humor in text with any 'icons' smileys etc.. --

I was just like, huh? Lower, why on earth? =) -- I think others replied that he could/should go lower though.. I just shake my head. Imo, it would be a huge waste of funds to go air to lower that more than it is. The visual difference wouldn't justify the cost. But what do I know about lowering the cars? Not much.

Oh, and PD you need to grab some of those lights like Brandy has Heck I do to.

I think it would match well, at least the ones I see. Given the color and mods you've done. But price is price,..

I wouldn't pay it either, but I wouldn't do some of the mods you did the same way and you I. Car reflects personality, and man your weird.

Kidding.. its sharp, no doubt.

Thanks steveski, this forum is great. lots of great info. I hope to have a pic of my black 99 LS400 soon. Right now, I'm looking for new wheels (just 18's)and keeping the stock for winter tires. Most likely change the brake pads and rotors while the wheel is off.

This forum will help you save money, etc. Since we have hijacked Pure's thread search for offset, etc. when you are ready to buy your 18's. Also TireRack has cheap prices on Brembo blanks ($58/ea.). Enjoy brother
