Is octane booster beneficial for the 1UZFE?

a factory street car engine that's tuned to run on premium will make the most hP on premium pump gas. race fuel or higher than premium pump won't do anything unless you bump the timing. even the difference between you left coasters on 91 and us east coasters on 93 is negligible across engines in similar condition. turbo cars, on the other hand, require a bit of a different tune for 91 vs. 93.
those additives in tiny bottles won't do **** in a full tank of gas anyway. y ou'd need 1/4 tank of gas with about 5 bottles of additive to make a significant difference in octane rating.
now, if you go to a paint store and get a jug of toluene and add it to a 1/2 tank of gas, you'll get some good increases but again unless you're turbo/s/c or high er than stock timing, it won't do anything. i used to run toluene mixed with 93 in my talon a while back and it kept me at full timing on 3 more psi than with just 93 in the tank. basically poor man's race fuel.

Octane booster in a LS400...
Why not just buy some unleaded racing fuel...ya know that 109 Octane stuff...might be a hell of alot cheaper than all the booster youll need.
I know a buddy with a civic who said he put it in his car and he beat a Mustang GT...but he also swares his coffee can muffler gives him 50 horepower and the V-tec on the side of a Honda is just a sticker
Ahh well think of it this way...1st generations can outrun Crown Vics and Grand Marquis!!

The only thing that does help the lexus is lucas fuel injection cleaner as far as the ocatane booster you are wasting money. I run 89 octane in my 91 lexus here in CA and it runs fine if I run the 91 it does have a little bit of pep not much.
