I Screwed Myself
hello all after i got my car started and running after 2 days DEAD battery it runs ok now but im not sure if i have messed up my alternator, due to my audio system being run of my battery, well ill try to describe it,it sumtimes acts as if it wants to die but only for a spilt second as in a drop in rpm's and when i press the brake the dash and headlights dim for a second even when i lock the doors ......is this the alternator or just another case of bad wiring, i have heard that u can brake the wire that goes from computer to dash after years of use and its located near the trunk hinge and i do always have to SLAM my trunk for it to close PLEASE help if anyone can help thank you because im afraid of it dying again

Have your alternator and battery load-tested. Remember that the alternator is not designed to charge the battery, only to maintain a charge. It could also be a bad ground.

I had the same thing.
If the batt is weak, or dying, it will cut out when blasting the system with all the lights on and AC on. If the battery is weaker, then its even worse.
Clean all the battery contacts, if its still doing it, then get a new battery!

I had this problem where the battery was getting drained and kept dying. I switched to a red top and everything was good for about a month...but just the other day the car didnt start again, after I jump started it, it's been running ok and I've been sure to check the voltage on the battery from the deck before I turn the car off.
