anyone know if these headers would fit my 96 lexus ls400 http://www.l-tunedparts.com/product/?id=2103 with the stock exhaust?

you will need to relocate the catalytic converters.

why would you want headers with a stock exhaust?

Those S&S header threads sure are popular. I would also call Luis to see if they are actually still available as they can't be selling too many of them. I was going to install them but after I realized it would be a custom job from start to finish I opted for my current setup. JBrady had a thread showing the competitive gains but wow what a lot of work it took to install them, etc.

Well i was going to buy those headers and just buy new mufflers for my LS

ur not going to see much power gain using the stock exhaust....

so what do you recommend i should do? just straight pipes all the way down? i just wanna make sure i'll pass smog.

get some CA spec emission high flow cats, a xpipe, 2.25 mandrel bent piping to 2 mufflers of your choice. resonators are optional but if u want it not as loud then its recommended.

most places, and especially any state using CARB standards, is NOT going to pass you with those headers

and no, there aren't ANY CARB approved headers for the LS, GS, or SC.

all the above sounds about right i learned the importance of an x-pipe(crossover pipe) first hand. make sure u have it. pure drifer has a point tho.i didnt kno that. although if ur cool with a couple smog shops u have it made
