LPG retrofit - Liquid Petroleum Gas
I found this interesting note in another thread.
Its sounds like a great idea. How much would it cost and do you have pictures?

I replaced the spare tire with a tank full of liquefied petroleum gas. Half petrol price and 5 times cleaner engine. Ever heard about LPG/autogas:
