Physics argues that you would need a lot more hot air to compress in the cylinders to overcome the obvious huge bump in IATs by going with a shorty cone. If these intakes add more air and the same temp delta across the driving range, they will only make more power if the MAF can adjust via the parameters of the ECM to dial in more fuel for the enhanced combustion. If this mod is worthwhile, I'd like to see the whole dyno curves as well.
