I should have run a different tire, but I have what I have for now - I'll get it to fit properly, just have to play with it for the next couple days. And my kids are bigger than most of the people at my shop - my 12yr old is nearly 6' tall, supposed to be 6'7"+ by the time he's done. It just seems to drop more than normal when we are all in it.

Hey RK, i'm very interested in finding out the comfort level of thesse coilovers. For example, i have a 91 with original bushings that need to be replaced. Shocks are also worn. Do you think it will ride similar, beter or worse than what i am experiencing now if i get the megans with all new bushings. I,ll appreciate anyones replies. Thanks

j3 I have no idea how to answer that because I have no point of reference on how your car rides currently. The lower you set it the stiffer you'll have to run it so it doesnt bottom out. If I set mine at full soft, it rides like stock but bottoms out over almost anything. Stiffer settings and its harder to bottom out, but in my opinion it still doesnt ride bad at stiffer settings, but then again I'm used to lowered cars and lifted trucks. Also keep in mind I'[m running rubber bands for tires (35 series fronts, 30 series rears) and those let you feel every ripple in the road.
Bottom line I feel the coilovers are a better investment as they are rebuildable, infinitely adjustable and you can set them where you want them as opposed to settling for whatever a dropped coil gives you, and they will always lose travel where coilovers wont.

Talking

Thanks alot RK, my dad has a 94 and the suspension is in good shape so I know how good these babys ride when in good working order. I'm pretty sure the megans with all new bushings would ride somewhat closer to how the car rides now but with a more stable/controlled ride! The price you paid was great, if you get custom spring rates is it the same price? I heard the ride quality of the jic vip spec is realy good and i was wondering if you could achieve something close if it is not already at that level with the custom spring rates. I got the car for $3,500 and I think it would be crazy to pay that much for the jic. Its good to know there are other options out there at a somewhat reasonable price. Thanks again, oh yeah what are you feeding those kids?

I'm nearly 6'4" so I guess they got it from me! I talked to LOTC on this board and he says the JIC's ride real stiff, that was enough to make me buy the Megans because if its gonna ride stiff either way, might as well spend less than half the price. Turned out they ride pretty well.
