PROBLEM SOLVED!! THANK GOD!!!!!!! Just got back from the Lexus dealer, which was a very nice place, will be using them now for all my servicing needs. Well the problem the tech said, is the egr valve thing , the one on the top right hand side from looking at the front of the engine . has a 4 wire connector connected into the side of it. its a step motor he said and they fail allot on 1993 and 1994 vehicles. he unplugged it and the car runs perfect, not even a check engine light and he had a scanner hooked to it. so this time unplugging something is not tricking the ecu to go in failsafe mode, he confirms this. he said i just need to get the new step motor its almost 600 buxs from lexus so i am going to find it used. Other than that he came over to me and whispered that the 1993 to 1994 Ls400's is the most reliable car on the planet. He said these models are made better and more reliable than the brand new LS's Or Any Lexus model for that matter.. So that was cool, i didnt expect him to say that. The car runs great now, and shifts like butter. he said that thing can cause tons of problems, every single thing i have been having wrong, it can cause it , even your problem with yours Och, So i hope u check urs out, and hopefully when u unplug it, it will fix ur problems man.
Peace out everyone for now...

Congrats! This is great news.
Since many of us are experiencing the same issues, can you post a picture or better describe the part that was disconnected? Also, do you also have a part number for the unit that needs replacing?

Oh and dont get upset if you unplug it and your problem does not go away right away, I have noticed it depends on the air temp outside how your car will run with this unplugged. On the way home from Lexus when it was hot outside,it ran perfect, went out last night when it was 70 something outside and it still bucked very slightly. So i am in search of this part! And i have read something on a EGR delete Which could solve our problems and get rid of this Thing that robs our Horsepower and engine smoothness. It also depends on what position this valve was in when the power is cut to it how your car will run.. So, i really don't want to keep messin with this Thing! So, i am in search for the part, or maybe i will do the EGR delete.

FIXED TOO!!!
Thanks 1993Ls400s for posting the detailed info. Pulling the EGR plug has also made the light-throttle stumbling go away on my '93.
Let us know where you find the part at the cheapest price...

Hey guys, this fix doesnt work for me unfortunately. Makes no difference how my car runs when I unplug the valve. In fact last year I had EGR delete kit installed and it only made the pinging even worse, so I removed it.
Also, I get a CEL right away when I unplug the EGR valve. I'm not quite sure why your car isnt throwing a CEL.
The other thing, I dont even get how or why this fix works. I understand how a malfunctioning egr valve could cause bucking, but not a major power loss.

Its def the EGR valve, the lexus tech has been there 18 years and said he see's this allot on 93 and 94's with this new type electric EGR valve. he said that it fails as it ages and it doesn't move like its suppose to and chokes the engine out. Its actually a step motor like the IAC valve. My check light hasn't been on yet and its been 3 or 4 days, car is running great. cant wait till i find a new part for it,then i am going to run some Bg44k in the gas tank, heard this stuff is the bomb...
