-WHen you realize even though you are in the LS forum, there are some really juvenile posts in comparison to the caliber of car.

1) When your Lexus Service Advisor becomes one of your best friends because you see him too, too often.

2) When every other car you ride in is: too loud, uncomfortable, and too slow!

3) When your 9 year old interior is in better condition than your friends 2 year old's car.

Hmmm,
IF I get beat by a little rice-can to another stop light...I really dont care. Anyone can have a little civic and put a massive turbo on it and turn it into some V8 eater... Plus when they are all shiney and clean, parked downtown...which one gets more looks - answer that one for yourself.

AND At least when I give my car a little gas it SOUNDS like a vehicle rather than some non-stop flatulence after a fat woman eats Mexican food.

So the LS doesnt have to be fast to leave rice-cans in the dust.

But I do leave ricers in the dust. lol. I get messed with every day. But fortunetly I haven't met the guy who actually put money into his motor rather then a set of altezzas, projector headlights and a set of stick on hood pins.

You can't forget this one...you need to change your timming chains, and water pump at the same time, even if one of them is still good.

Hate my 95..POS
FYI this feature can be disabled. I have mine disabled by the dealer ('98 LS). They plug in a hand held PC to the OBD. but I don't know about the '95 though.

Still working thru my extended tax return & finished my itemized automotive cost.

Mine was just a tad over $4000.00 with just over $2000.00 being fuel cost.

"I know I have an LS when" Itemized cost exceeds vehicle value.

I did spend $1000 on a new interior last year, btw.

-when you know the lexus parts dealer employees by name (Luis!)

-when you shell out 1/2 a paycheck for a starter job

-when you secretly look down at almost every other car interior

-when you can almost sleep on the hwy w/ cruise on

-when you spend 1/4 of the cars' total value every year trying to use good parts

-when a V6 doesn't sound that good anymore...

A few more.....

When you catch that ricer giving your modified LS a 2nd, 3rd, 4th look - oops almost rear ended the guy in front as he stared and stared....

The older guy in the Z06 asking you "Is that a Lexus LS"

The S8, AMG, M series that passes slowly, drops back and then passes slowly again

And my favorite to date an older guy an a killer new M5 saying your LS is the coolest one I have seen
