93-94 arent "big brakes" by any means

Never said they were, they are however enough of a difference, when paired with slotted and cryo treated rotors to help dissipate heat and increase braking power, as well as decrease the potential of warping the rotors. Comparing side to side and 93-94 rotors are about an inch taller.

I was about to say the same. Maybe if it was a darker vehicle.

Keep up the good work bro

actually niether of those technologies will actually increase braking power, for that you need a combination of more pistons AND more surface area (bigger rotor).

slotting is proven to help reduce brake temps, which in turn help to prevent BRAKE FADE, ie it makes the brake more resillient, not stop harder/faster.

Cryo-treating brake rotors is something that has never actually been proven to have any reall positive effect.

also, google "warped rotor", the metal doesnt actually change buddy, just gets deposited with glazed on pad material....

The rotors will be larger so I will have more surface area, which will increase braking power.
Yes, deposits fron brake pads can create the feel of a warped rotor due tot he uneven surface, however excesive heat can also create heat spots and warp the metal.
The slotted rotor should reduce brake fade that's all I'm going for there.
Cryo treating the rotor supposedly gives it more strenght, however I have not done too much research to debate on this point, so you may be correct.

im going to stop posting on this topic in this thread since we're pretty much completely off topic and i've posted this before in purely brake related threads.

surface area ALONE is meaningless, what good is the surface area if the force applied to the pad is only from one side? most 1piston calipers NEVER slide perfectly evenly, meaning you wear the inside/outside pad faster, which means that one of the pads isnt doing its job properly... also multiple-piston calipers allow for the implementation of LARGER PADS, since the PAD area and distribution, as much as the ROTOR area that determines stopping power.

all the info on warped rotors.

tried to put those sc430 wheels on my 2000 Ls, but the fronts did not fit, how thick should the spacers be, 15mm, or 20mm????

iirc it's 20-25mm, but i have heard mixed reports since it depends on the wheel being fitted.

it's a commonly known fact that SC430 wheels will NOT clear the 2LS calipers....
