I don't know for sure that G37 wheels will clear LS400 brakes, but I know for sure that G35 wheels clear them with extra room. It seems that the G37 has larger brakes, so it should clear the LS brakes.

Alrighty guys...did a quick test fit of the front wheels and...

THEY FIT!!

Just to let you know, I put the REAR G37 rims on the front because I didn't have the front rims with me (I only had the rears in the trunk because I needed to replace one of the tires.) The spokes clear the calipers by about 1/4" +- so I won't be needing spacers. They sit pretty flush with the fender. Soooo if I put the front rims on the front, there should be more room since they are less wide (8.5 vs 9) and less offset (43 vs 45 I think?). Stupid question but lower the offset number, the farther the rim spoke is away from the brakes?

What do you think about the flow of the car with these rims, design wise? The VIP fat five spoke designs are nice but I was wanting something sportier like these.

caliper and the spoke

They don't look bad at all. Your LS would be unique....you don't see anyone else wearing those rims, regardless of what others say.

Here's a crappy side shot of the car:

I'll take some photos of the car saturday with the fronts and rears on for a test fit.

fuzionn - nice chop! looks great! I probably wouldn't go that low with my suspension setup but it does look much better w/o the fender gap.

LiCelsior - haha yeah the fender gap was huge because the suspension didn't settle yet.

Suneet - nice to have a fellow bay area member sorry don't have any LS430's for sale...mostly civics/accords/corollas/etc which sell very well in this market.

thanks for everyone's comments!

Ok I did a test fit of the front g37 rims and it doesn't quite clear the brakes. Looks like I need a 10 mm spacer. Hmm if I put 10mm spacers on, would there be enough thread for the lugnut to hold on to? 20mm with bolt extensions might be too much.

if you do it right and buy an H&R hubcentric spacer kit, the 5, 10, and 15mm spacer kits come with extended studs.

so for the record, Infiniti G37 multispoke 19" wheels will NOT Clear 95+ LS400 brakes.
