2 slight issues on my 96 LS
1. i heard it before but never really paid attention to it, until now. when i start up the car sometimes, i hear a lil bump, or hit from the engine. could it be my motor mounts hitting the hood?? idk
2. my power door locks just started bugging out. theyll just open, close. just started doing that this morning.
oh and also not to sound stupid but sometimes when i turn the car off after driving it, i hear a "fart" type sound, not loud, but kind of annoying. it just keeps going for a while and then stops
any ideas???

1. How long does it "hit" for? Only once? First revolution of the engine?
2. Don't know...
...and you might wanna stop giving your car milk. Sounds like a problem my grandma has, and its very annoying as well.

1. when i start the car. does it sometimes, just a lil knock that i hear. i just want to get an idea cause i'm doing my timing belt/water pump, valve cover, lots of maintenance work soon. if the mechanic is already in there, might as well change as many parts possible

please don't pm me questions you can ask on the thread
i told you to check the battery ground, you may not have tightended it properly when you installed your battery or cleaned out the corrosion that may exist.
have a mechanic check if the engine mounts are bad, most likely they are. for the trans mount you can use a jack to try and jack just the trans up a bit to see if the rubber is broken or cracked.

i was just asking for specifics. you could've told me that in a PM instead of being a lil kid about it and putting it on the thread. but thanks for the input

reason PD wants you to post in this thread is so other people who are searching for the same problem u have can come across this thread and have a quick fix, also....so u dont clutter his pm box lol.
my LS also has a random clunk on the first rev of the engine...and when i mean random it happens maybe 1 outta 20 starts.

As for the door locks opening and closing...your driver door master cylinder likely has a worn electrical contact in the cylinder. I dunno if they sell that harness alone, I wound up replacing the whole cylinder for about $340. About 45 minutes labor and the part was ~$260.
I took mine apart following and the electrical contacts aren't put into a robust housing that will withstand lots of mechanical key openings. You'll eventually leave traces of the contact material smeared across the nylon/plastic retainer and it will short. YMMV. Mine failed with about 70K miles on the car.
Barring that, there is a problem within the door locking ECU. That isn't good but I strongly suspect the master cylinder because mine would open close on it's own like your symptoms.

hey.. is it a bubbley or gurgley sound? My guess, if thats the case, its the radiator overflow tank. Is your car running consistently at normal op temp? Check radiator cap fluid level...and/or simply "burp" the cooling system. Maybe that will help?
This is why I don't think it happens every time for you.. maybe it never gets hot enough or builds enough pressure on short trips.
