Default LS400 HID Install Problem (1st gen)

I was installing a set of JDM headlights and a MTEC HID kit when i ran into a problem... The lights dont turn on. . Has anyone installed a set on a UCF10? The plugs are dummy proof, the fuses arent blown ( i plugged in a normal bulb in the socket and it works... Anyone have ideas?

UPDATE:
i got the low side working but now i encountered a diff problem.. when i ****ch to hi-beams it pops both of the headlight fuses.. suggestions?

u probably have to flip the connector that plugs in the ballast from the bulb.

+1 you have to pop out the connectors and swap the positive and negative

i have...turn the lights on and off a few times and they should come on....sometimes only one comes on but i have to shut em off and back on...as far as blowing ur headlight fuses u need to make sure ur ballasts are not grounding out

You're not listening and 2 people told you the correct answer TWICE. The factory Lexus/Toyota High Beams INVERT the standard wires. Check it with a multimeter again and you'll see what they are talking about.

Did the kit come with a seperate loom or are you using the original plugs to power the HID kit ?
The best way is to have a seperate loom for the HID kit and just use the original headlight power as a switch .

no it tit not come with a seperate loom.. I know what you are talking about but no it ddnt...

As for the inverted wires i did use a multimeter and checked the car..
left 0 top ground right hot 12v

the hid harness

blue and black power to the ballast
red and blue tied into a little fuse

hids work with either left:red top:ground right: blue
or red and blue switched...

Mine do the same thing. I only get one fuse blowing though, not both.

you can't use the stock headlight plug if you are using a hi/low hid kit because of the way toyota designed the lighting circuit.if you hit hte high beam switch, it will blow fuses every time.
you have to make your own circuit or forget about high beams. i chose to forgo the high beams since they didn't really seem necessary anymore.
