Default Serpentine belt idler pulley pn?

Hello all,
I've spent 2 hours looking for a part number for the idler pulley on the drive belt (serp belt, not timing belt) on a 96 LS400. Its the very top pulley of the bunch, not the tensioner pulley. (This is called the idler pulley, right?) I think its made by Dayco. Couple of places I called today have no details or info.

Anyone have a part number for either the pulley or its bearing?

Many thanks!

PN# 16604-0F010 $65.

Actually all you need is to press the bearing out and replace with a fresh one.

Mine was was squealing and when I removed it, one of the internal bearings could be heard rattling inside. Since I was leaving on a trip and this came on a later Friday afternoon, I didn't have the leg time to call bearing shops. I just bought the whole unit.

Thanks for that! I want to write some notes here so that others may do this, but right now I am not sure if all the references are correct. I found a link from your part number to the bearing itself, which, as far as I can see, is sold in stock at autozone! Here is the link:

http://forum.ih8mud.com/100-series-c...u-replace.html

This points to Napa part # 6203:

http://www.mx6.com/forums/2g-mx6-gen...-bearings.html

There is a reply in there showing the bearing number is 203FF, which is sealed on both sides, according to:

http://www.bardenbearings.com/PDF%20CD/c8a.PDF

Here is AutoZone's part:

http://www.autozone.com/R,682/initia...ductDetail.htm

I will pick one up tomorrow and attempt to replace my worn out one. More later.

Thanks!

-Dean

Default Update

The right bearing is the 6301 DWA (6301 sealed both sides). I can read it on the old bearing itself.

The 6203 bearing is for the tensioner bearing on the same belt. I replaced both - here is a link to the part numbers and more details:

And here is a pic of how the tensioner bearing came out - the idler bearing was still holding together (though a bit rough), but the tensioner bearing had disintegrated:
