Default Removing bearing from pulley...

I've got the change the bearing in the serp idler pulley, and its pushed into sort of a cup-shaped hole in the front of the pulley. The hole at the back is smaller than the bearing diameter - do I just push it out destructively by the center ring? It doesn't matter as its being replaced anyway, but is this the appropriate method?
