I use the toyota coolant and mix it 50/50 with distilled water my 91 ls400 still has the original hoses and radiator. I DRAIN THE RADIATOR AND THE ENGINE BLOCK I DON'T FLUSH THE SYSTEM I JUST ADD THE 50/50 MIXTURE EVERY OTHER DECEMBER AND SO FAR NO PROBLEMS. Here is a tip from the auto air conditioning industry always turn on your air condition weekly ( in the winter you can have the heat on) just hit the green button for the compressor to turn on for about 10 Min. This will help your compressor and system stay in good working condition.
