Default Let me reintroduce myself

Hello. Not really new to clublexus but new to the ls400 forum. I use to have a sc300 but sold that sometime ago. Now I just recently purchased a 1992 ls400 and I love it. By far the most comfortable car I've ever owned but my previous cars were all 2 door coupes so maybe that makes a difference. The car is basically a 2 tone black with tan interior. 169k on the odometer and it drives smoother than ever. Everything works besides the led display for climate control and the cd changers gives me a err70 code. No pictures as of yet because it's winter here and the car is dirty. I've been searching around alot recently but any info for a new owner is helpful. Thanks in advance.

Welcome. The climate control is a very common problem on 90-94 LS. Along with power steering pumps.

Yeah that's what I read up. My sc300 had the same problem too. Anyone here purchase the led bulb and screen kit and have tried to replace it themselves? Just wondering how hard it is to do.

It's relatively easy. All you need is the following......basic soldering skills, being able to follow and read easy directions, and a little patience. Because they points you are soldering are small and kind of fickle.

How was the SC300's ride compared to the LS? I heard those are smooth and quiet cars also.

Well the sc300 looked more sporty and was faster due to the manual tranny. My sig shows a picture of it. It was smooth when I first got it but the wheels and coilovers made it a little more rough but not by much. The LS by far is more comfortable though.

I guess that leaves me out of the question. I never even soldered anything my whole life.

Welcome - looking forward to the photos. I remember years ago a Doctor I know had a black SC like yours only with BBS mesh wheels - sweet!

A couple other things I notice is why does the sub seem so much louder when the song has mid bass but when it has to low bass the sub doesn't even seem to work? That's weird...the SC's sound system was much better.
