Default Uneven suspension

I bought a 91 LS400 about a month ago. It has new tanabe df210 and tokico shocks. Problem is front driver's side is lower than the other corners. The rear is also very soft and the front is nice and stiff. I haven't really checked it out yet. Anybody know what i should check first

look for blown shocks, springs put in the wrong way, lose parts would be a good start.

Did the car sit lower on that corner before you did the suspension upgrades? Just wondering, because my right front sat higher before I put on the same setup and did the same after I lowered it. I later found out it's due to a replaced tie-rod that the last owner did.

They all sit unevenly since the weight distribution is different at each corner. It is just more obvious now that there is less gap from tire to fender well line. Mine varies by 3/16" front and almost 1/2" in the rear side to side. Only way to even it is adjustable coils.

I don't like it either but I'm not going to chase after that minimal difference. Now that you've told us, if we spot you we'll be pointing at your un-even car.

I bought the car with the new suspension already on it. Doesn't even have 500 on them. I did notice one tire in the front is a different brand. Same size but one looks just a tap bit taller. I don't think that's the problem though. Looks like I'll be taking out the suspension soon. Damn.

I can't upload the pictures for some reason. Anyway, is that true. The car comes from the factory uneven. I never heard of that.

i believe it will always be like that, because when your driving your puttin more weight on one side than the other. its not like you will always have a passenger in your car. most of the time the weight is on the driver side while your drivin if that make sense

I get the idea that the weight is on the drivers side most of the time which makes the springs in that side sit lower. But the suspension on my car is brand new.

It doesn't matter,, ALL of them sit a tad bit lower on the driver side, new suspension or not. Alot of times the difference is minimal, but it does sit lower. You mention that you have a different size tire. This too may affectthe ride height. What are the specs on your tires. The middle number on your tires is the profile height and if that is different, may explain the noticable difference. ex. 235/40/18,,, the 40 is the profile height of the tire. Let us know what your specs are.

Both front tires are the same size. 245/35/20. Just different brand. There is a difference in the two but very minimal. The difference in the front fender gap is so big, I don't think the tires is the problem.

Could very well be the shock itself too. I had very bad experiences with Tokico's, but as others have stated, the weight distribution on the car is gonna merit an uneven result no matter what. In most cases the difference is minimal, but you know it is there b/c it is your car. The only way to correct that is with coilovers.

Give us some measurements. Measure from the lower lip of the rim to the top fender well arch with the car on level ground. Also make sure all the tires are properly inflated and you don't have any heavy accumulation to skew the ride height. Doesn't matter how much gas cause this will change the car constantly.

Lower lip as in the closest to the ground or closest to the fender. I'll do that tonight after work. Thanks
