'93 LS 400 Driver Seat Issue
I recently bought a '93 LS 400. I have an issue with the driver seat. Not a big issue but one I hope that can be fixed. I have not taken it into the dealer yet.
When you try to adjust the back at a certain point only the left side of the back moves forward. So it tilts to the right.
Has anyone had a similar issue? Is it easily fixed or is it a big issue getting it fixed?
Thanks.

Searching in the forums is a very powerful tool, and in most cases the problems which may have been brought up have been discussed numerous times before. We do encourage people to use the search features as much as possible in order to avoid the repetition of subjects over and over again. As LI Celsior stated, the seat problem is a very common problem with the First gen's. There is a conncting rod that goes between the actuators on both sides of the seat. In most cases, the threads on one of the acutators is stripped from excessive use and does not work properly anymore. Easy fix,, you can remove the back of the seat panel, try to line the rod back up and use a strong adhesive to try to perm attatch the rod to the actuator. Only problem with this is you only get 1 shot to do so. Other than that, you just need to get another rod and re-install.

Really if I knew I was going to be Berated just because I asked a question, I wouldn't have joined this website and foundout the information somewhere else.
Mr. LiCelsior, I thought I did a good search, I didn't findout anything here or other websites. Before I went to a dealer or mechanic I wanted to check this fourm first.
Thanks to the others that responded.
I have decided I do not need to belong to a group like this.
Take care
Chuck

ok thanks Chuck, it was nice seeing you here even though you didnt last long.
i just searched "seat tilt" --> https://www.clublexus.com/forums/sea...archid=2670648
and i came up with this thread, https://www.clublexus.com/forums/ls4...ggin-seat.html
and that took less than a second to find, another 5 seconds to skim through the titles to see which matches what im looking for and a minute to type this up and search at the same time.
sorry if i offended u that easy but just a more detailed search will get your results.
-Joe.
