Used LS400
A few months ago I purchased a 94 LS400 and the forum members helped me out tremendously.
Unfortunately, my Dad fell in love with it and bought off me with in 48 hours.
Since then, I didn't come across any good deals and slowly the money I saved up has been disappearing.
What do you think of the 90-92 LS400's??
When I should I look out for?? ie. timing belt, etc.
Since I'm looking at the 90-92 years, being 10+ years old, how expensive are the parts??
I remember somebody posting about a Toyota dealership in Carson, CA.
Can I get the info on that again??
Any other info would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks~~

You can call Steve Ganz at Carson Toyota for great prices on Lexus parts.Tell him your from Clublexus.
If the LS 400 has been kept in good shape, it should not be a problem.I have seen a 90-94 LS 400 with over 350,000 miles on it.

Be warned though, there were quite a few cosmetic and some mecahnical changes throughout the years for the first gen LS's.
I forgot which, but in 1991 or 92 the front rotors were increased in size, I think because the early ones (90 and or 91) were too small and didn't last too long because they heated, then warped and quickly wore out the pads. bigger brakes on such a big car were a good idea anyway :-)
1991 Added the 30 second delay to power the windows after the ignoition was off so you could roll them up if you forgot after you took the key out.
1993 Had the most additions as I know with the auto dimming mirror option, passenger side airbag, auto on/off headlights and a few other changes including much needed bigger tires.
1994 Was the closest out of the first generation models to look like the next Gen style. (1995)
