Idler pulleys...bearings replaceable?
I have heard that the bearings in the idler pulleys for the serpentine belt can be pressed out and replaced with locally available bearings in my 94 ls400. That would save a bunch of bucks.
Anyone know if this is the case?
thanks in advance.

yes it can be pressed out and in, in fact you can just place a socket of equal size or tad smaller and hammer it out,
heres for the tensioner pulley bearing # 6203 you got to get the sealed metal bearing code zz so its 6203zz about 6 bucks
for the idler pulley its # 6301zz for metal sealed bearing
theres also rubber sealed which is cheaper
