hmm.. how come the JDM '98 - 00 LS seems to have a retractable antenna in the rear? for ROW, i think the antenna was integrated into the rear glass.. perhaps related to differing broadcast frequency standards in different parts of the world?

it's also interesting to note the different side marker lamps (and lack of the one on the front bumper), headlamp washers, and splashguards..

 

Nope. In later 97 I believe they put this model out in Japan, then in 1998 they put out a different model without that antenna.

 

TV antenna in some cases, also the washers were avail in the UK and Canada as well.
