Its not that bad on gas really, Its certainly reliable enough and comfy for long commutes, ideal for a DD!
Neg points though - 20mpg isn't the best, that being said I get about 22mpg
Its a big **** car to hustle through downtown traffic, smaller cars are easier for darting in and out of traffic.
Big **** car makes people think twice about going head to head though...a nice trait for a DD

I drive my LS close to 500 miles a week (350 during the week and about 150 during the weekend) and I absolutely love it!
Although I find myself wanting to fall asleep on the days that I'm extremely exhausted lol.
But yes, great car to DD!

Good daily yes. For a V8, this thing gets pretty damn good mileage compared to newer vehicles.
I've been thinking of getting a Crayola...err, Corolla, but I love my LS and will keep it until I finish school. Then if I pull in six figures (doubtful), I will look into getting the LS460 (one sexy car) and a IS250 for commuting.
