Default Bouncy Idle '95

Hello fellow Ls400 owners I just finished replacing my starter in my 95 Ls400 but now the idle is bouncy and the engine is not running smooth like before.

What would cause this?

I was thinking vacuum leak but i checked all the vacuum lines and they are fine.

I reused my throttle body gasket....maybe this??

calm down buddy, you arent going to get far being so inpatient.

sounds like a vacuum leak. check the lines for both leaks AND for being properly routed.

just sounds that way...im pretty patient and just glad it runs.

Now its the part of getting it to run right..

So the exhaust leak prior to the 02 sensor would have nothing to do with my bouncy idle??

it COULD be a host of things, but you have to start eliminating the most common issues first.

Is each injector on the car supposed to be for each cylinder?

Is it possible to have mixed up injectors?

the injectors wont be a problem, if you miswire them it will.
but its pretty hard to screw them up due to the cable length

Yea i thought it was unlikely that each injector would only be set per cylinder.

I went to My local Auto Zone and got a scan and it came up that 7 cylinders are misfiring.

So only cylinder number 8 is working properly.

I think i might just go to my Leuxs dealer and get a diagnostic

check your firing order, sounds like the plugs/wires are mixed up on the distributor.

^ Checked and there all were they are supposed to be.

The top ignition coil has a plug on the bottom with two wires.

Well that plugs plastic broke so I was left with only two wires not knowing which wire went into what side of the coil.

I think since they mixed up and i started the car it might off messed up something electrical.

What i did was triAL and error. I switched the wires until i saw which one ran better.

But maybe it messed something up on that initial start when the plug on the bottom of the ignition coil and the two wires were mixed up.

Oh yeah another thing is that now my steering wheel will only go up and down. It doesn't go in or out anymore. Checked fuses and nothing?
