Ok. I have been looking at a few Lexus Ls400. I have fallen in love with these cars and know this is what I want. I have found them at a very price. I have been researching and came across this one. This one is specially loaded with stock airbags and adjustable height. The price for this one is 4995.00. It was bought from a dealer by a smaller dealer.

This is the other one I found. It was a one owner that a couple traded in. From what I was told, everything has been maintained well. They fixed everything on time.

So please, if you can offer some advice. Again I am new and looking forward to getting a great car I will enjoy. W

What do I look for? For the price does it seem worth it.

I thank you.

Bryan
is this from a lexus dealer? what kind of warranty will they give or sell you. negotiate.

Here's a few in your town to compare before heading to Houston:

yeah i am waiting till I see the car. I really like this one, but trying to play it smart. I was going to send my deposit in, but decided to wait. I called and asked about leaks, CEL's, Transmission problems. I'm still not sure to trust a dealer, because they will tell you anything to make the sale. So once I get there I will keep a look out. My friend who works at lexus as mechanic will go with me.

This car is not at a lexus dealership. I believe it's at a local used car dealer. I looked at thier inventory and they carry some pretty nice cars. I wish I could have a guy from houston go and check it out for me, but I have no friends in houston . I am still searching in my area, before I make the trip. I would love to find something in my area worth buying.

Thank you guys for your help. It will help me in purchase.

Here are some LS400s in the Houston area (including "yours"):

If you're going to be in Houston anyway, maybe you could leave earlier and look at some of the others first. Especially THIS one!!

btw, I bought both my LS400s off of craig's list. I'd give serious consideration to the "by owner" listings before sealing the deal with the one you're looking at.

I called on that one and it had like 209k miles. I kind of want something with a little less mileage. I know these cars last forever, but still.

Be very careful at Car and Nation. I looked at an SC there a couple of weeks ago and the price was indeed too good to be true. Spare's wheel was very rusty and carpet had mold in it. Moisture in headlights. Sure looked like a flood car to me.

I wish you well in your search!

damn thanks for the heads up. Hey guys I found this car. Check it out: http://austin.craigslist.org/cto/1056641801.html

It's all black but the 2nd tone was painted. Kind of not my style with the aftermarket paint. But he said all the maintenance was done. Timing belt, fuel pump and all. He has paperwork.

What do you guys think?
