Most of the Honda/Acuras that last that long are the Acura Legends and older integra/civics. 96-ish cars haven't been on the road long enough to accumulate such miles. I think there was at least one acura legend with 700k miles on original engine and transmission. It was served as a taxi car. However the engine is definitely not as smooth as the 1uz-fe. 90 degree form from a V6 is not the ideal geometry ![Frown](https://www.clublexus.com/forums/images/smilies/frown.gif)
There are PLENTY of honda/acuras with 250k-300k miles, you just dont hear much about them because it's not an amazing feat to acheive. Just like 250k on an LS400 is expected. Now 200k miles on a 1995 Ford V6 truck without major repair is amazing![Big Grin](https://www.clublexus.com/forums/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)
I have a gut feeling that the original poster will choose the LS. Choosing between an LS and a TL is like choosing between UDSA Prime and USDA Choice steak
Both are good, but one cost more and may be more satisfying

The LS looks soooo much better than the TL, IMO. I still notice the difference in drive with FWD vs. RWD. I have spent a lot of time behind the wheel of a Legend (Owned a 1992 6-speed coupe). It had very noticeable torque steer. Was a great car regardless and very quick in it's day. The automatic trannies are not bullet proof as I helped a buddie change a couple. Those little transfer cases are a *****

Yea. Only some 93-95 Legend coupe and GS sedans came with 6spd. I find it hard to believe that the auto tranny weren't good. They were bulletproof. Simple search on the forums, you'll find very very little complaints about the tranny. The only time there was a failure was when people take their cars to a local mechanic shop and they put in ATF that was not Honda ZF-1. They dont shift nearly as smooth as the LS at the time, but they are bulletproof.
