if its damaged, yes.
if not, a little teflon tape and you'll be fine.

it would be hard to find that exact gasket or washer from aftermarket but if you could and were confident it wouldnt leak i don't see a problem...

Well I got my washer and gasket. Tomorrow I'll be picking up the coolant. Probably get it done next Wed.
Along with my coolant temp sensor

when I bought my LS last year, she has the green coolant ; I wonder what kind of damage may have occurred? The green stuff is still there now.

You should refill with Toyota Red
I think it's alright to have green but not preferred. The safest to use is Toyota red since it's an aluminum radiator. (i believe)

FWIW, I've never replaced the crush washer on the filler housing and have removed it at least 6 times.

How did the job go? I'm thinking my 95 needs to have the same job done since it seems to take forever for the rpm's to drop down to a normal rate (at idle) after being started cold or even after sitting 30 minutes after driving it. Takes about 20 minutes of driving for the rpm's at idle to be below .500 which i understand is where it should be.
Thanks,
Bryan
