Truk Man hey, for your control arms what did you replace them with? Ive got the classic clunk going on over bumps so i know there toast. But are oem ones adjustable for toe camber etc or should i go a different way? Ive got the megans on order and already got the wheels im just planning on doing everything all at once.

Or would the clunk be from bad strut mount plates

Hobo, for my control arms i had to bite the bullet and I got the OEM ones online. Those stupid things were not cheap as you know. Once I got them, pressed out the bushings and replaced them with the Daizens that I had in my old one's since the bushing I ordered from Daizen were a litle over a year old and still in very good condition since the car was not being driven that much. There are several peeps here on Megans with the OEM control arms and I don't think you will have a problem with them. Mine is droppen on H&R + KYB's. I would also check on your strut rods since you are there. I will FINALLY be replacing mine within the next few weeks.

That too can cause a clunk. If he is ordering the coilovers, he wont have to worry about replacing the top strut mounts since coilovers already come as a whole unit. Just yank the old stuff and replace with the new, then adjust.

Awesome man thanks so much, so just to clarify the megans do come with the top strut mount already since its one contained unit correct?

the classic clunk over bumps is most often the strut bar bushings.
