So guys heres my dilema. Both passenger and drivers seat are in and fully functioning, but only held by three bolts. Making an adaptor for the fourth bolt proves to be difficult, and because of its shape it wont provide the necessary strength. I'm wondering, how feasible would it be to just drill right through the floor, and get a set of stainless steel bolts/washers/lockwashers/nuts, and bolting it right through? Of course I'll use some 20 year exterior silicone sealant to seal off the hole.

Another option is to just zip tie it to the carpet

Just kidding about the zip tie, lol

Any possibility of using parts from your old seat brackets on the new seats?

Zip ties, just kidding.

I'd think hard before i start to drill right through the floor, but nonetheless its been a long way and its still sexy as hell.

I'm gonna post pictures of the situation with that last bolt later on today, maybe some of you guys come up with an idea other than to drill the floor.

Most people weld in a new mounting point/bracket. I don't see the problem with drilling a hole in the floor as long as you don't hit anything else. If you go that route though, make sure to put a big washer on there or fab up some type of long piece of metal to spread the load. This way if you wreck, the bolt doesn't just rip through the floor.

Need opinions from you guys. I've reupholstered the arm rest to match the white seats, and now want to get my shift **** reupholstered. I could reupholster it brow to match its existing color, or I can make it white to match the seats. I really can't decide, what would you guys do?

Just replae it with a newer shift know like a levoc shifter or something. You already updated the interior, why not go all out with a unique shifter as well. Something like this,,

DO NOT drill a new bracket point in your car. Rather, find a plate or cook up some bracket to work on the existing point.

First off, it will not be as stable as you think it will be. 1 car accident might be enough to start "movement" on one of the points and "tear" the metal. Comes from my first hand experience after putting bucket seats in my Maxima, and having the passenger side seat nearly crush my head.

Finally got the front seats mounted at all four points. Didnt have to drill through the floor, came up with something else.

I'm gonna come by to one of the meets some day, and show you, its a bit hard to explain.

Anyone brave enough to do LS460 seats conversion? Theres a set on ebay right now, and its dirt cheap! The same company I bought my LS430 seats is selling them.

If they were white/tan I would've snatched them. The rails look just like 430 rails.
