Default Seats.... anyone ever put recaros, sparco, corbeau, f1spec, etc?

anyone ever try this? the friend that bought my 1LS needs the drivers seat redone... it would be cheaper to just buy something else and bolt it in.

i guess i would just have to figure out how to make the rails fit but i cant imagine it would be too hard.

thoughts?

I would put the LS430 seats before putting in a bucket seat in my LS...or re-upholster.

Well, I guess I have to agree with the others. If it were an IS maybe. But being a big body sedan, not really feeling the idea. Having the seat re-upholstered sounds a bit more reasonable, plus I don't think it would cost nearly as much as the price of a new set of Recarro's...IIRC, the cheapest set is probably around $1,600...

Good luck,

Jitters

Sure does...if it was an SC300 with manual transmission and a 2JZTT swapped in, I say go for it. The LS...is a different beast altogether.

I like the idea of more bolstering with my stiffer suspension setup but those seats don't look right IMO. Maybe in my 350Z though:

i understand what you guys are saying, but he was looking for a more supportive seat.. . just one actually, the rear seats are in pretty good condition and the passenger seat is as well.

i think that is a pretty good looking seat, or it would be if that was not the carbon/kevlar weave. the FRP seat is just black.

in any case i forgot what the floor looks like on our cars, so it might be a pain in the *** to install... not to mention seat HEIGHT...

figured i would throw it out there incase someone had done it though

I would do the LS430 seat mod then, the bucket seats have lousy suport... I had them in my 87 Maxima.
