please help to figure this out
my 94 LS400 has 115K and check engine light come up when gas pedal is stepped down little harder than mild gentle.
It will stay on for like 5 seconds then go away, speed won't go up while the light is on.
But if i drive it really slow and don't do quick acceleration, everything is normal.
Does anyone see this problem before? is ECU gone bad?

Sounds like your AFM may be screwing up.

idk about this company. i sent them the ecu from my ls400 a lil over a month ago to be repaired and noted exactly what was going on and the error 41 etc.. and that the tps checked out good etc... got it back. same issue. so then i tried a brand new tps, same issue, checked the wiring from the tps to the ecu, its good, checked voltages with tps plug unplugged and the vta wire had 1.7v on it. obviously something wrong with the ecu. so i had to send it back under warranty, spending my own money on shipping to them again because they didnt fix it properly the first time. im still waiting for it to come back to me so i can try it. i hope they have fixed it correctly this time or ill be demanding a refund and suggesting that no one else deal with them.+
btw, you can buy the lcd to fix the climate control yourself on ebay for ~$60 shipped.

well, just got a call from ate, they say they found the burnt out component in my ecu and have replaced it and are shipping it out today. they received it on 5/4/10 according to the tracking info from fedex. i hope its actually fixed this time. its been over a month without the car because of this.

well, got my ecu back today. not only am i STILL having the same problem and getting code 41. im also getting code 47 for the sub tps, which my car doesnt even have as it doesnt have traction control. i do not recomend this company at all. they were already closed when i call them. i will be calling monday to request a full refund. this is the 2nd time i have gotten the ecu back that it hasnt been repaired correctly. its been over a month without the car because of these people.
