Rear Brake Sliders
Hi,
The rear brake sliders on my 91LS only have the fluted rubber bushings on the bottom sliders. The top sliders on both sides don't have the smooth bushings. Is this normal, or should the top sliders have the smooth bushings, just like the fronts? Picture of sliders attached (courtesy of Lexls.com).
Thanks

I am just telling you my setup, I purchased my car from a guy who didn't maintain the car well. So maybe he flipped them backwards, or maybe he didn't. I am not sure of the all 4 wheels, but I know most Toyotas come with one solid slider, and one with a rubber bushing, and I've never questioned it as I was doing the brake job, so I'm not really sure.

I got an exploded view of the brake components for the 90~94 LS from my local dealer. For the front, it shows a rubber bushing part number for the upper sliders which are smooth bushings, a part number for the lower sliders, which is a fluted bushing, In the rear, it shows a part number for the lower slider bushing, which is fluted and just a slider for the top without a bushing on it. I'm assuming this is the correct configuration.
Can anyone confirm this?
BTW - You can order just the bushings. You don't need to order the whole slider which retails for around $17 each (x8).
Thanks...
