I do not have a local Lexus dealer. The local Toyota dealer was not any help.
The nearest Lexus dealer would not give me a part number, told me the wire come's with the engine harness only and would have to be special ordered.
I shall keep looking.... thanks for the warm welcome's, Great place.

Well I took a chance and changed out my knock sensors and hoped my wiring was ok..but I am still getting codes for both knock sensors.

how long is the wiring harness for the knock sensors?
i should have checked the wiring with my meter but i didnt.
the car doesn't drive bad at all..So I am not going to worry about it for awhile.

i cleaned my intake, throttle body, new seals for my injectors.so it wasn't for nothing.

About 10 years ago I had a mechanic change the EGR pipe on my LS400. He must have mangled every connector he got his greasy hands on. I had to replace, so connectors including both knock connectors and one knock sensor.
I remember having to buy the whole harness that included both knock sensors, starter, and emission air pump. It cost at least $80. If your knock wiring is bad you will have a engine code of 55-or53

yup, you can also get the pig tail connectors from most late 80's, early 90's toyota's

Knock sensors use just one wire, so you just pop the wire out of the connector and stick it on the knock sensor with some adhesive.

Yes I did clear the computer...the sensors I bought were from a company called bwd made in America. they have a life time warranty..The only thing that worried me about them is the connector was longer than the original....I should have spent more time and checked everything with my meter..I am kinda upset about it now..it wasn't a easy job..and now i have to do it again lol..

GOOD NEWS.. I found a place that has the knock sensor wiring....Sewell Lexus for 42 dollars.

I have had 2 Lexus dealers tell me you can not get the wiring...that you have to buy the whole wiring harness

Thanks Vaughn, for the update!
I have been trying to get that knock sensor wiring for weeks now! And yes, every dealer i called, said I had to order the ENTIRE wire harness for the car. I called Sewell Lexus a few hrs ago and i got that part ordered...should be arriving in a few days, so i can get the knock sensors replaced finally!
*I found new OEM knock sensors on ebay for $100 each shipped, and now, the OEM wiring at sewell lexus for $42 plus shipping...

the knock sensors are located in the valley of the engine block.
You basically have to take the whole intake off to get to them and the wiring

It should not have anything to do with your car not starting though.
If your knock sensors are bad...or the wiring is bad...the computer only allows it to pull a little timing. From what i have read I am still getting codes for both knock sensors.and my car drive's ok.

Ok here are pics of the item i ordered from Sewell Lexus...
(its supposed to be the knock sensor wiring)

I'm getting the work done tomorrow, so we'll see if i did need it after all...

PS: I also have two (2) new knock sensors that are going in. Hopefully this will solve the CEL problem.

a) Entire Wiring in Package

b)Pigtail connectors to both knock sensors

c) Main connector to Engine Harness

Cheers!
