Installed new caps, still a fuel gauge issue maybe???
hey all, i just installed the 3 new caps in my 93 ls400 cluster over the weekend.
everything is working amidst the airbag light which is no big deal cause ill fix that soon. But I have one outstanding problem.
After i installed the (2) caps dealing with the fuel gauge, i used the correct farrads and voltage on each but one was non polarized I hope that doesnt matter.
But with everything hooked back up, when i turned the accessory on the fuel gauge went to about half....so i took the car to a gas station to fill up. I topped off my tank with 93 until it clicked and was full. When I turned the accessory on to check...sure enough the gauge was showing all the way full! I thought yay! But after driving around for the evening and some today, the fuel still reads full what could be the problem could it be the one non-polarized capacitor i used?? I gotta get my fuel reading right!!!
thx guys
