My 98 ls400 was also a total loss. A couple of punks ran a stop sign and my wife T-boned them and they ran off. Air bags wet off saving them from injury. Worst was my sis in the back seat who got cut and brused from the seatbelt and a hurt neck.
My insurance company sucks and is low balling me so watch out. They collect premiums fine but are not in the business of paying out. I am in dispute and have resorted to the appraisal method in the policy. I just hope that the agreed price also is high enough to justify my out of pocket cost to hire the appraiser. I'll be glad when it's over so I can let them know they no longer will collect premiums from me.

Happy w Geico & pleased to be moving on from this.
My Mother is now in a 2001 LS430 with 85,000 + less miles that had meticulous records. A nice $10,000 out of pocket upgrade, I would say!
