Default 1993 LS Firewall Location

I found what I think is the firewall which I now suspect is the A/C duction, near the passenger strut tower by the throttle control on the wall. Is this the firewall pass through? I am running an aftermarket amp(red positive) from battery to trunk, where is the firewall hole!? how should I run this, I just dont want to start poking around in my ducting if I am missing something.

Please help ASAP

Not quite sure what you are asking. The firewall is the entire back wall of the engine compartment under the windshield. If your question is where should you run your power supply to get power to the new amp in the trunk, then you have a couple of options. Some people just drill a hole in the firewall itself and seal around the new connection to prevent leaking, some run the power under the car into a gromet under the cabin and then just run it in from there. There really is no SET way to run this.

This thread should give you an idea on what some have already done,,

Found another thread which may help. You can also see how mine is run from front to back as well on my 92.

I see no photos or real help on either of those, but yes my question is...is there an already predrilled hole in the firewall for some stock wiring and if there is is there a better location to run the power wire for an after market amp into the trunk? I would like to keep everything on the interior of the vehicle(not under carriage etc..) I am installing an after market head unit also, so any other suggestion would be appreciated... am I going to run into some serious snags here?

The links I sent you were to give you an ides of what others have done to get power to the trunk from the battery.
The photo's I mentioned are in the second link, page 3(post36) and is ONLY how I got power from front to back for my amp. My power wire is blue instead of red. Mine is run from under the hood, into the cabin, and into the trunk, not under the carriage.

To get back to the CORE of your question; no there is no pre-drilled hole to run the wire thru.

This will help with the radio install itself,,http://www.lexls.com/tutorials/audio/

Default Done

It is next to impossible to run the power wire through the firewall, I ran it underneath the vehicle and under the carpet on the driver side by the Ebrake pedal there is about a 2 inch hole I drilled out and ran the wire through there and through my trim etc...

LOL,,I never said it would be easy. Drilling the firewall is a hard job, but it has been done.
