Default Intake Hose

OEM Part # 17881-50010
This is the "accordion" intake hose between the AFM housing (aluminum) & the plastic Manifold Intake.
Mine was cracked & brittle & needs replacing. What are my options other than the $50.00 oem??

It is a 4" OD & around 4 3/4" long.

94 LS.

I bet you could have a silicone hose made by one of the many capable hose makers out there. It will probably cost MORE than $50.00 though. It would be a non-accordion style though, for better flow. Maybe spectre has something.

What's the inside diameter? This is most important since the wall thickness on anything aftermarket is going to vary and this hose slips "over" the AFM and manifold intake. I was going to suggest just buying a foot of marine exhaust hose from your local West Marine store. There's one in Reno if that's close to you.

JimsGX,

You are ofcourse correct. Inner Diameter is the most important measurement.
This is promising:

Hey, maybe that bump-out in the middle of the hose will create a vortex and act like a supercharger! (haha)

I'm sure my local Pick A Part has it for much cheaper. If you want I can check it out for you. Only thing is that shipping may drive the price up again.
