has anyone heard of this product? if so will it work on a 92 ls400? Or better yet has anyone installed this product and what were the results of running this stand alone system?

stand alones are usually reserved for extremely advanced tuning/swaps. if you have to ask it's probably not for you.

I used to be running one of these on my Z32TT. Definitely not for running anything near stock.

When you are twin charged and running a distributor-less setup on your LS400...

Depends on the application. You haven't mentioned what you plan on doing to the car to warrant the standalone being needed.

You could always get the standalone, program it for running a completely stock configuration, but wth for? You have to pay for the dyno, and tune, and cost of unit + installation. Doesn't make sense but if that floats your boat to burn money, go for it.

Search is your friend. You need to do a lot of reading, but you can do a s/c at 6lbs of boost that will work with factory limitations, albeit you should get an upgraded fuel pump.

Ditto on what PD said. Get your maintenance done first before spending a fortune on stuff that will blow it up faster.
