Default Suspension & Transmission

Hello everyone. I am a new (happy) owner of a '92 LS 400 with 114.000 miles. I want to replace the struts and shocks, and do a tranmission service as well. Can anyone succest what brand struts/shocks should I buy, and also, if there is transmission fluid similar to the synthetic oil for the engine, that I can safely use in the car, and also any succested transmission filter better that the Lexus. Thanks in advance.

Bobby

Tranny service is pricy and I don't know much about it. Now you can use Tokico blue shocks for your LS...same ride quality with a little better handeling.

Thank you for your response. I used to work on cars years back, and my cousin owns a garage. I never liked to deal with dealers anyway, unless I really had to. I will buy the parts and do the job myself saving a lotta labor for the next improvement. Thanks again bud.

Bobby.

Just installed Tokico Blue shocks and struts and Eibach springs yesterday. Man it was a b_tch getting those struts out. The rear seat has to come out because the rear shock mounts are on the rear speaker deck. The axles had to be disconnected to drop the struts out.

Anyway, it was worth the wait and the installation $$$ . The car drives like stock, but is a little more sure-feeling going around corners .... try SHOX.COM. All four Tokico shocks/struts and Eibach springs for $569 plus shipping...
