Good News. The Salesman called me about 2 hours ago. He said that after talking to a higher-up manager, he said that he could sell it for 5.5k plus fees/taxes which makes it in total prob $5800! I guess waiting really did work out . Gonna go grab it around 1 noon tomorrow.

hopefully i wont have any second thoughts by then.

So, as I posted earlier: The salesguy just wanted to make a sale. Good choice for not buying it on the spot.

But the question still remains: 95 or 96?

oh..my bad i am still kinda excited about tomorrow.

Its a 1996 Lexus LS 400.

Btw, my uncle said that as a precaution i should get the timing belt changed.I'm looking at the carfax now and I don't see that its been changed or would that even show up (I'll ask the salesman & recheck under the hood). It wont cost much because He can do it for me.He (my uncle) also has a '96 white/tan LS ,which made me fall in love with them in the first place. place.

most dealerships wont report to carfax.

take the vin (and the registration when you get it) to your local lexus dealership and they can pull ALL the maint. done at any lexus dealership in the US for you.

with 133K on the ODO, there's a pretty good chance that the timing belt has been changed. Take PureDrifter's advice and get the service history before your uncle puts a wrench to her...

By the looks of the pictures, it IS a Lex dealership that he bought it from. They have all maint. records via the VIN, have them print them out.

Well, I doubt that the salesman will honor the price mentioned in the phone call.

They did keep their word concerning yesterdays phone convo.

Its All Mines

My uncle & uncle & his mechanic took one more look b4 i pulled a trigger & could not find a thing wrong. I got the dealer maintenance records too.The couple who had it must've been **** about everything because they seem the have had everything up to date/in order. Oh and the timing belt was changed at around 90,000 miles. I even got the original sticker, i didn't even realize LS's retailed for 57k (well this on did) in '96.

Will post some pics once i get a better camera>.
