1995 LS400 fuel gauge pegged to full

I reused the original electric board because the new cluster's board had a different orange and blue harness connector - so that comprehensively rules out the board being an issue. Plus, the board has the odometer reading on it - so it would have been essential to reuse it anyway.
So it was, by all means, the gauge itself
BUT!!!!!! You have a '94 LS, right? I thought that fuel gauge issues with those were... because of the damn board, some capacitors being the problem. And your odometers are mechanical, aren't they? You should just get a complete replacement cluster and then swap your odometer in.
How is Joburg these days? I was there this summer. Got to play with lion cubs at the Lion Park, and almost got killed in the CBD.

You shouldn't go to CBD...I was there only 3-4 times (doe I am living in SA only for 4 years now, originaly I'm from Yugoslavia, Serbia
)...I'm taking a cruse to the coast (Durban) very soon...
Thanks for the imput, as I'm definetly going to order a gauge now, and have a normal working fuel gauge.

im having a similar problem with my gauge cluster it works but nothing lights up and i think some one cut and changed the orange connecter on the harness behind my cluster cause i have bought 2.. 1995 ls400 clusters from junkyards and they dont fit the orange plug doesnt line up wit the cluster so now im screwed if anyone can help me that will be great jus PM me
